Teachmitra Connect

What is Teachmitra Connect?

Teachmitra Connect is a service where we set you up with your peer to Learn or Teach meaningful skill listed by you on the platform online or offline. A connect session only takes place when you & your peer agree to do it, no forcing from our side, we only help you connect when you are ready. The online connect can be taken by hangout, Skype, WhatsApp video chat. The connect is usually a Hangout session of minimum half n hour.

If you & your peer both are in Mumbai, then we can set up a meeting at our centre in Vashi, your travel expense (conditions apply) will be taken care by us. We are starting with Mumbai & be in your city soon. Write to us for us to know you need us sooner!

How can I do connect session?

The Teachmitra Connect Session can be online or offline*. The online connect can be taken by hangout, Skype, WhatsApp video chat. The connect is usually a Hangout session of minimum half n hour.

How many hours do I need to do a connect session?

A connect session must be of minimum half n hour, That means minimum half n hour of meaningful conversation with peer in presence of our Admin. This is applicable to online & offline connect session.

Why do you ask for my mobile number?

In the last step, when you initiate a request for Teachmitra Connect, we ask your mobile number & verify it by sending OTP. This is only for us to contact you & explain you rules or to contact you in unavoidable circumstances. We only contact you 2 times:

  • 1. To let you know the rules & explain next step.
  • 2. Just before the Connect Session to make sure if everything is in place.
Will you share my email ID & phone number while doing a connect session?

Email ID is shared through Hangout, Skype session & phone number can be shared if you & peer choose to connect through WhatsApp Video Chat.

But if you don’t want to share & still connect then, we use Zoom App to connect you to your Peer. The App needs to be downloaded first. Know more about Zoom here.

What if I delete the Connect Request?

Well, that’s completely ok. We understand that you are human & you must have other commitments. If the Session is cancelled anytime before 24 hrs, you don't have to worry. We will inform the peer & no points would be deducted.

But if you cancel the connect request inside 24 hrs then we will transfer your 50 points into the peer’s account. This is the decision we took, as commitment to our users. We think this will reduce a No shows.

What are terms for Teachmitra Connect?

Here are terms for Teachmitra Connect:

  • 1. Peers agree to connect with other peers on the platform once they agree to Give help or Ask help.
  • 2. Peers can connect through Google Hangout or offline in presence of Teachmitra Moderator.
  • 3. Minimum time to connect is 30 mins Maximum depends on Need of the connect type.
  • 4. If session is called off 24 hrs before connect then,
    • a. It can be rescheduled.
    • b. If not a., then points of peers who has requested to help or asked help will be deducted as a penalty.
    Teachmitra is authorised to take Final decision.
  • 5. We do not have formal association with Google Hangout or any online webinar services.
  • 6. If connect doesn't happen due to some unavoidable circumstances at Teachmitra's end then
    • a. It will be rescheduled or
    • b. Cancelled
  • 7. If foul language is used then, account of particular peer can be revoked.
  • 8. Teachmitra is not liable to give prior notice in any case, whatsoever.

Blog

I have written blog on the platform, but cannot see it?

Donot worry, We have received your blog & it is under review. Our review team checks if the blog is asper our guidelines & publishes it if everything is ok. We take 24-48 working hrs to do so. Once we publish or reject your blog, you will receive an email & notification regarding the same. Images shared is not accepted, shows error.

This is because it is too small or too big. Minimum resolution for the image is 500px. File size needs to be less than 5MB. Please contact support, if it is already as per the guidelines.

My blog was published earlier, but now got disapproved/rejected. Why?

Ahh, Humans make errors! your blog must have got approved by mistake, we have a facility to undo it & then reject it. It must have been rejected as it does not follow our guidelines.

Why my blog got rejected?

We are sorry that your blog got rejected. The blog must follow following guidelines to be approved.

  • 1. Blog needs to be educating or sharing your knowledge regarding your experience in learning something.
  • 2. You should not share your contact information in the blog.
  • 3. You should not share any link promoting other websites in the blog.
  • 4. Only use free header image or image that you own in the blog.
  • 5. You cannot use lewd language, choice words or expletives.
  • 6. Blog must not be copied and reproduced. Teachmitra has rights to reject the blog, even after if it was approved earlier.
How can I delete the blog?

Before our approval, if you feel like not to publish the blog, you can write to us to delete your video mentioning the name of the video at teacmitra@gmail.com. We will reject it & mention the reason ”As requested, deleted the blog.”

After publishing if you feel to delete the blog, then you can click the “3 dot” icon at right corner of the video post in your dashboard & delete the blog. Please not if you delete the video, the 30 points you received for video sharing, will be deducted from your account.

Why my blog is still not shared?

We take 24-48 working hours to read & review your blog. Sometimes the traffic is very large & there are many blogs to be reviewed, in that case we may upto 3-4 working days. We are trying to be as quick as humanly possible.

Video

Can I share other person’s youtube video?

Unfortunately no, you are only allowed to share youtube video which belong to you & your youtube channel. The video also needs to be recently shared on youtube before you share on Teachmitra.

Why Teachmitra allows only educational video?

We are educational platform & want the community to only get exposed to learning in every way possible. Even though learning video can be entertaining, but for exclusively entertainment video you have youtube.

My Video was not shared on the platform, why?/Why my video got rejected?

We are sorry that your video got rejected. The video must follow following guidelines to be approved:

  • 1. Nature of video must be educational i.e. to teach meaningful skills or subject.
  • 2. Video must not be in regional language. You can use Hindi or English.
  • 3. Voice quality must be good.
  • 4. Video must be clear.
  • 5. Video must not be copied and reproduced on your youtube channel. Teachmitra has rights to reject the video, even after if it was approved earlier.
  • 6. You should not promote any website or brand in the video.
  • 7. You cannot use lewd language, choice words or expletives.
How can I delete the video?

Before our approval, if you feel like not to publish the video, you can write to us to delete your video mentioning the name of the video at teacmitra@gmail.com. We will reject it & mention the reason” As requested deleted the video.”

After publishing if you feel to delete the video, then you can click the “3 dot” icon at right corner of the video post in your dashboard & delete the video. Please not if you delete the video, the 20 points you received for video sharing, will be deducted from your account.

Why my video still not shared?

We take 24-48 working hours to review your video. Sometimes the traffic is very large & there are many videos to be reviewed, in that case we may upto 3-4 working days. We are trying to be as quick as humanly possible.

Redeem Points

How can I redeem point?

You can redeem the points by going to “Redeem” option in your dashboard & then putting the points in the text field & select which gift vouchers you want the points to be redeemed in. If you are eligible your request will be sent through to us & we will sent you mail once your points are redeemed. To check eligibility, please visit our Terms page.

What is maximum points that I can redeem?

The maximum points that can be redeemed are 200 after each give help session. Minimum points that are required in your account is 50.

Why you need me to do a “Give Help” connect session to redeem my points?

Teachmitra is Learning Platform & not a Referral Platform. We want you to do a Give Help connect session so as you help the community in some way. Helping is a good Karma & all require good karma, no?

What if my Give Help request is not accepted by any peer?

We cannot force any peer to take help from you. You should search & find other peer who requires & agrees to take help from you. Teachmitra should not be held responsible if peer is not accepting your request. Clear enough!

Are you going to add any more vendor coupon?

We are in process of bringing on more vender coupon on board. But that solely depends on us when to introduce them to our peers. As of now you can redeem your points against Amazon & Flipkart Gift vouchers.

Registration

Why is registration closed?

We timely close our registrations to monitor the data filled by our peers. If you see “Registration Closed” banner on Sign up page then we are in that process. We are not number hungry, for us quality comes first. Saying that we are also increasing our team to handle the registrations that come. Cant ignore that!

Why you need referral code to register?

The community is very integral part of Teachmitra. When your friend or colleague signs up using the referral code, you get to know what he/she wants to learn or what he/she can teach. There are more uses of this, but we will only reveal one at a time.

Other

Why my Profile pic is deleted?

The profile photo is delete if it contains any nudity & hate picture. The other case when the profile pic is deleted is when you promote any political party or company through it.

Why did you ban me?

At present there is no Follow feature on platform. You can request your feature to us by writing mail to teachmitra@gmail.com
